ABOUT TRISHA

Trisha Beavers brings her Pacific Northwest flair to the Decatur and Atlanta, Georgia region. She graduated from the University of Washington in 2021, during the global pandemic, as an Education, Communities, and Organizations major.

Since then she has worked in various roles serving youth populations, most notably her role as a College Access Coach at Washington State University Vancouver's (WSUV) TRIO Talent Search Program. As a first-generation college graduate, Trisha felt it of the utmost important to pour back into the aspiring college youth of her hometown as she continued to investigate what a fulfilling career meant to her.

Through her role at WSUV, she realized that emotional-development for youth was a true passion of hers. This was the catalyst for her journey to GA as she enrolled at Georgia State University in their Clinical Mental Health Program, graduating this past spring.

She is now an APC at Giselle Jacob therapy under the supervision of Tiffany Luke, CPCS, and direction of Giselle Jacob LPC. Through both undergrad and grad school alike, Trisha found solace in yoga. Initially practicing in her bedroom during the pandemic to YouTube videos, she eventually found community in Atlanta studios. Ultimately, thanks to a generous scholarship, she had the opportunity to earn her 200 hour certification as a vinyasa yoga teacher. She is continuing her yoga teacher education this fall by completing a Functional Yin 24 hour yoga teacher training.

Outside of her professional world, Trisha loves anything crafty, and she tries her best not to take everything too seriously. As a high-achieving woman, she now emphasizes the importance of doing, just to do, not to always excel.

If any of this resonates, please find a way to connect with Trisha, whether that is through her yoga offerings, or her counseling practice at Giselle Jacob Therapy in Decatur, GA.
